Brownies are one of these treats that everyone loves. The crunch on the outside and the warm oozing fudgy centre makes your taste buds tingle in delight. Cookie dough? The creamy sweet mixture with the bite of mini chocolate chips is our favourite feeling. What's better than eating them separately? Combining them, of course! For this is how to make ultimate Gookie Dough Brownies.

Ingredients

3/4 cups of unsalted butter

1 1/2 of bittersweet chocolate chips

1 cup of granulated white sugar

1/3 cup light brown sugar

Four large eggs

One teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon of salt

1 cup of all-purpose flour

Your favourite flavour of Gookie Dough

How to make the brownies

Firstly, preheat the oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9x9 inch pan with non-stick spray. Then line with parchment paper.

In a microwavable bowl, microwave the chocolate chips and butter together until melted. Keep checking in 10-second bursts to prevent burning. Alternatively, do this in a pan.

Add the sugar and whisk the eggs into your melted mixture along with the vanilla and salt. Sift the flour into the bowl and fold that in. Scrape the brownie batter into the pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the brownie layer is cooked through properly. Place the pan of brownies in the fridge to speed up the cooling time.

For the Gookie Dough

Once the brownie is cooled in its tin, spray it with nonstick spray and pat the Gookie Dough on top, ensure it is an even layer. Sprinkle extras on top, such as sauces or melted chocolate if you're feeling extra calorific. For clean, perfected cutting, chill the brownies again, then lift the brownies from the pan and onto a chopping board. Slice the brownies with a sharp knife and wipe the blade clean between cuts. If you want super perfect little squares, then use your knife to cut the sides of the brownies off before cutting the pieces. Remember always to chill the brownies because the Gookie Dough needs to be cold.

Our choice Gookie Dough for this recipe? Triple chocolate fudge, obviously! Will you be making these?
