  • Our Instagram Favourites Of The Month

0 comments / Posted on Sep 17, 2018 by SugarcoatHope Collaborator

We love the Instagram community and our fans are always inspiring us with new Gookie ideas which is why we're (yet again) saying a big thank you to all of you and showing off our favourite Instagram posts of the month. Remember to follow us @gookiedough for juicy content and to spice up your feed!

    Donut Dough

This is quite literally what dreams are made of and those teeth marks are making us jealous that it wasn't us taking a huge bite of heaven. When in doubt, make dough-rings. I wonder if that is a whole tub of original flavoured Gookie Dough there? Well, that's our diet out of the window. Massive credit to @hot.fork!

    Funfetti Cake

In the words of @ncyfoodforthesoul, "Fudge brownie, cookie dough, funfetti cake with edible cookie dough frosting with vanilla and chocolate buttercream and Nutella coating topped with edible cookie dough." Ever seen cookie dough present in one sentence this many times? Calories don't exist when it comes to this cake! Maybe we should start a petition to see the inside? SOOOO DREAMY!

    Fudge Brownies

@asammacros is certainly telling us who's boss with this creation. Cookie dough fudge brownies which are made from little pieces of funfetti Gookie Dough. What a way to add a splash of colour to your food. 100% food perfection right here! Why have a normal boring brownie when you can add sprinkles?

    Skillet Surprises

Skillets, the only time you can eat the whole thing without feeling any guilt. We're not sure if this is too gorgeous to eat or whether we want to stick our faces into it and just consume it all in one bite! Made with our gooey original Gookie Dough and what seems to be gorgeous white chocolate covered Oreos and some delicious chocolate spread @scrambled_legz has got this down to a tee. Dessert is well and truly served!

    Gookie Tots

@sammiejosephene is doing what any responsible adult would do and introducing the little ones to Gookie Dough! How adorable is this, we're certainly looking like the heart eye emoji right now 😍. Maybe you need an extra pot when buying your next order!

Thank you to all of you Gookie Monsters for letting us look at your creations, we love to see it and please continue tagging us in your posts in the future! Make sure you give us a follow and use #gookiedough for a chance to be reposted on our page!

Here at Gookie Dough, we love seeing what you make with our product and you are the heart of recipe ideas and future flavours! Today, we thought we'd kick off hump day with some Instagram inspiration and show you our favourite pictures from you guys! Warning alert, complete yumminess incoming!

    #1 Cookie Tower!

A chocoholics dream, we're in heaven! This is the perfect way to kick off a bank holiday. Our chocolate fudge brownie Gookie Dough is the perfect treat with chunks of rich brownie, chocolate chips and a gorgeous cocoa taste. We admit we may be drooling! Thanks to @ishouldstartlifting for this gem.

    #2 Dip Galore

Whether you're having a girls night in, a boys night out or you're sat watching Netflix. Gookie Dough dip is the perfect pudding. Mix things up with the sweet taste of cookie dough and the slight salty kick of pretzels. Not a fan? Stick to chocolate sticks. Anything your heart desires! Picture credit to @glutenfree.followme

    #3 Funfetti Explosion

Adding the fun back into our original Gookie Dough with this skillet. Either a unicorn has thrown up or there has been a celebration. So much colour! Remember you can bake your dough for 12 minutes at 180 degrees for the perfect gooey cookie. Trust me, you need to try it! Image credit to @thecarboholic

    #4 The Decision

Never make the tough decision between cookies or cakes ever again. You want both but you know you can't? Wrong! Use your dough as a topping for cakes. Simply leave your tub out of the fridge for a few hours so it softens and it is easy to spread over your little cupcakes. @sweetboxphilly has the right idea.

    #5 Pretty Pancakes

It's never too early for Gookie Dough. In fact, you can even incorporate it into your breakfast. Pancakes anyone?  Topped with a dollop of ice cream, a sprinkle of icing sugar and Gookie Dough which is melting gorgeously into your stack. Are we licking the screen? Maybe! Bruch goals thanks to @toomuchfood

  • Peanut Butter Cookie Dough Brownie Cake

0 comments / Posted on Feb 19, 2018 by SugarcoatHope Collaborator

The world needs three things and they are brownies, peanut butter and cookie dough. If you're ready for your next session of super sickly sweets then you've come to the right place. This peanut butter cookie dough brownie cake may be quite long winded to pronounce but your tongue will definitely thank you for it when you take a bite of heaven. Forget real meals, this has taken over, treat yourself and perk yourself up! Now don't get me wrong, this recipe is more of the complex ones we've written about but the pictures make up for that and I know you can't say no. The temptation is real.

    You will need:

    (For the brownie section)

    1 1/2 cup vegetable oil
    3 cups sugar
    Three tsp vanilla extract
    Six eggs
    1 1/2 cup flour
1 cup cocoa (Cadbury's Bournville for the win)
    3/4 tsp baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt

    (For the cookie dough)

1 1/4 cup butter, room temperature
1 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
    1/2 cup sugar
    3/4 cup peanut butter
    Three tsp vanilla extract
    2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    3-4 tbsp milk
    1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
OR USE GOOKIE DOUGH 2 MONSTER TUBS OF ORIGINAL

    (For the chocolate ganache)

12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
1 cup heavy whipping cream, divided

    (For the peanut butter frosting)

    1/4 cup butter
    1/4 cup shortening
    1/2 cup peanut butter
    Two cups powdered sugar
    One tbsp water or milk
Mini chocolate chips, for topping, if desired

    Instructions

To make the brownies, you will need to line the bottom of three 8 inch cake tins with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celcius. Then mix the oil, sugar and vanilla extract and next adding the eggs until you have a smooth mixture. Next combine your dry ingredients together separately. The flour cocoa powder and baking powder along with the salt. Add the egg mixture to your dry mixture and mix it well. Pour the batter into the three tins and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Remove brownies from the oven and allow them to cool. Now make the cookie dough.

Ignore this step if you're using Gookie Dough! To make regular cookie dough, cream butter and sugar together until it is light and fluffy. Mix in peanut butter and the vanilla extract and slowly add in the flour bit by bit. Add milk to alter the thickness to your liking. Stir in the chocolate chips, and now you should have a thick, gooey dough.

Cake time! Once your brownies are cooled, it's time to assemble this bad boy. Pop half of your chocolate chips into a metal bowl and microwave half of your heavy cream until you bring it to the boil. Remove from the microwave and pour over your chocolate chips. Cover the bowl for 5-7 minutes then whisk the chocolate mixture until smooth. Using the 8-inch tin that was used for the brownies, pop parchment paper in the bottom and up the sides and this will be used to lift the layers out of the pan.

Place the first brownie into the bottom of the pan and add 3 tablespoons of chocolate ganache on top and spread a thin layer across. This allows the cookie or Gookie Dough to stick to the brownie properly. Now put half of the cookie into the pan and spread evenly on top of the brownie. Remove the layers of cake from the tin and place on a serving dish. Repeat steps just shown with the second brownie and remaining cookie dough. Place the second section of the cake onto the first so you now have a hella large yummy delight. Pop more chocolate ganache on top of the cookie dough and top with remaining brownies.

If you want to make the cake super fancy and appealing to the eye then place the remaining chocolate chips in a metal bowl, microwave the rest of the heavy cream, pour over the chocolate chips and whisk until smooth. Pour on top of the cake and then allow it to chill in the fridge. To make the icing, beat shortening (Stork with butter) and icing sugar together until smooth, add the peanut butter and then water or milk until the desired consistency. Pipe icing onto the edge of the cake and get decorative!

  • Oreo & Gookie Dough Dessert Pizza

0 comments / Posted on Feb 02, 2018 by SugarcoatHope Collaborator

When it comes to pizza, everyone is down. It seems to be the meal that holds everyone together, mends a broken heart and allows you to get social! If I could marry a pizza, I would. The pizza delivery guy may as well live with us, let's be real. He's delivered more boxes of heaven than the postman. So, how does cookie dough dessert pizza sound? Absolutely divine.

    For the pizza base

    2 cups warm water
    One tablespoon yeast
    1/2 tablespoon salt
    One tablespoon sugar
    5 cups flour, divided
    Two tablespoon olive oil

Firstly, mix the warm water and yeast and let it sit for 5 minutes, so it begins its magic! Add 2.5 cups of flour and mix thoroughly. Next, add the rest of the flour and salt and knead it together. Let the dough rest in a ball for 10 to 20 minutes, and it shall begin to rise.

Next, pour the two tablespoons of olive oil into a pan and roll the dough thinly and place within the pan. Preheat the oven to 400 Farenheight. Divide your dough in half as this can make two pizzas. If you'd like to do this then double the ingredients for the toppings which will be listed below.

    For the toppings

Half a tub of monster Gookie Dough of your choice
Caramel sauce, sprinkles and anything else you'd like to decorate with. Get fancy!
Leave your gookie dough out at room temperature for a few hours to ensure it's easier to work with. Once more gooey, spread the cookie dough over the pizza base and spread evenly. Add any extras and then go onto the next part.

    For the cream cheese glaze

    1/2 cup butter, softened
    2 ounces cream cheese, softened
2-1/2 to 3 cups icing sugar
    One teaspoon vanilla
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 cup heavy cream

Cream the butter and cream cheese together and then beat in the icing sugar. Add the vanilla and salt, mix some more. Next, add in the heavy cream and beat until the mixture is well combined. Play with the measurements of the heavy cream and icing sugar until you get the glaze consistency that you'd like (runnier or thicker).

Alternatively, you can use 40 Oreos which are broken up and softened butter. Get experimenting! Don't the pictures just make you want to make them instantly! Quick, easy and fun. Perfect for the kids or just to relive your childhood.

  • Vodka Made From Clouds?

0 comments / Posted on Feb 01, 2018 by SugarcoatHope Collaborator

If you're an adult and love your vodka and coke or the odd cocktail and you're quite the spirit connoisseur, then this one is for you. A 2018 trend has landed, and it's rather extravagant. Vodka made from clouds. Is this just a giant vape in a bottle or was that so last year?

    So what actually is vodka?

Vodka is pretty pure, it's ethanol and water, and the first ingredient tends to be fermented potatoes, but it can also be made up of grapes, wheat, rye, rice, barley and horseradish. So clouds seems almost impossible. A man called Fenten designed an air water generator which is a machine that turns water into some pure alkaline water instead of it being neutral, this is used to proof down the vodka. The result means that you have pure, crisp, clean vodka with a sweet aroma.

With humidity in the air, the company can create proofing water which is like no other spirit company in the world. The water is less acidic which creates a smooth feeling and better drinkability.

    The science

Water vapour is trapped in the atmosphere, and it can be a renewable source. By taking Mother Nature's natural source instead of taking water from a water supplier, it's a more 'healthy' and better-tasting drink. However, on the island of Hilton Head, this is a limited supply. This isn't the first time water vapour has been used in vodka but how magical and refreshing?

The only downside of cloud-sourced vodka? Limited quantities. Their capacity is limited because the ability to generate water from the clouds is only doable when the humidity on the island is at its peak. The clouder Hilton Head, the more vodka. What a win-win situation.

Get your glass and ice at the ready! Maybe we should get thinking about a specialised Gookie Dough alcoholic beverage which will be primarily for the adults. Dessert and drink all in one? I'll take it!
